The artisans and our mission

A & A Glassworks LLC is a husband and wife owned and operated home based stained glass business.  By day the owner / artisans Andre and Annette pursue professional careers in metallurgical engineering and nursing.  By night we create personalized stained glassworks for others that share our appreciation for the media.

We are committed to leaving a small footprint on our environment and yours.

Our latest Tiffany style products feature lead free solder exclusively.  This extra cost compared to traditional lead solder avoids any unnessary lead exposure however small the risk.

 Experience

A 1999 kitchen remodeling project began our training by local stained glass artists.   Since then and our stained glass skills broadened.  A natural comfort with science draws us to explore innovations in the field of glass which we use in our artwork.

All works are collaborative efforts.  Annette usually takes the lead on fine detail work and fused products and has the final say on most glass choices.  Andre focuses on larger panels, does most of the soldering and designs most of the patterns.

We’ve worked with the Tiffany or copper foil method, fused glass, and lead came techniques producing individual panels as large as 48” by 18” wide.

Style

Our  interests and style is diversified and constantly evolving.  All pieces produced by A & A Glassworks are “ONE OF A KIND’.

Our portfolio includes residential projects including kitchen cabinet inserts, custom sun-catchers, bar signs, room dividers, clocks, and panels for furniture.

Many of our glassworks combine fused glass within Tiffany or lead came projects to add an element of depth.

We design many of our products but  can use patterns from other sources provided their copyrights are respected.
